JEEPNEY EXTERNSHIP AND industry-EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAM (JEEP)

JEEP

Program Description

The JEEP Externship offers participants a practical learning experience in which students and faculty observe and engage with professionals in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Unlike internships, which may involve direct participation in service delivery, externships focus on learning from the day-to-day operations of hospitality businesses. Participants in JEEP will be exposed to hotel management, tourism operations, customer relations, and event coordination, gaining firsthand knowledge of how hospitality services are delivered, from check-in to check-out, and beyond.

The JEEP Industry-Experiential Program takes this a step further, offering active participation in real-world projects like hotel event planning, tourism promotion, and sustainable hospitality practices. Through internships and practical experiences in Baguio’s hospitality and tourism sector, participants will apply academic theories to real situations, sharpening their skills in customer service, business management, and cultural tourism. This hands-on learning approach provides deeper insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the hospitality industry, such as eco-tourism, destination marketing, and hospitality innovation.
